Scaena
Loudspeakers to Debut the Iso-linear Array™ Technology at the HE 2007 in New
York City
Scaena
debuts its Model 3.2.
Smallest in the model line, it is fully expandable to any of the
other models- at will - without penalty.
The
Scaena Iso-linear Array™ is the culmination of multiple
groundbreaking technologies in loudspeaker design. Our innovative approach has achieved unprecedented success in
presenting a dynamically limitless, uncolored listening experience.
Scaena recreates the presence, stage and experience of the live
musical event like never before.
The
dynamic mass-reduction techniques used in this driver creates an effective
moving mass far lower than that achievable by an electrostatic or planar driver
of equivalent size. Simultaneously,
the excursions can move orchestral level volumes of air with essentially no
distortion.
·
Custom-designed
midranges with less than a 3” aperture in concert with ribbon tweeters,
disperse over 90*at any frequency! Previously unachievable mass-to-flux ratios
have startling speed, clarity, and extremely precise control.
·
A high-density enclosure manufactured using SLS (Selective
Laser Sintering) technologies
enabled us to create a functionally shaped enclosure designed around this
driver, for optimal acoustics. These
independent enclosures reduce resonance to unprecedented low levels.
State-of-the-art-tuned
coupling of the enclosures connects them
to each other, creating enormous effective mass, and erasing
virtually all sympathetic backwave coloration. The speaker is comprised of
precision-machined
parts using quartz, stone, aluminum and stainless steel.
Scaena was
designed from the ground up, applying renewed attention to the known science of
music and sound, eschewing the assumed limitations in conventional designs.
Scaena,
pronounced “sayna”, is Latin for stage, scene, theater and presence.
